Continuing Education Scholarships
The 2017 Continuing Education Scholarship Application is closed.
Through 2016, forfeited capital credits have resulted in nearly $250,000 in scholarships to local high school students since 1981.
St. Croix Electric Cooperative’s Continuing Education Scholarship Program was established in 1981 by the members and directors of St. Croix Electric.
How scholarships are awarded
Applicant must be a public, private or home-schooled high school senior. Dependents of a St. Croix Electric Cooperative employee or director are not eligible. Applicant’s parent(s)/guardian(s) must be a current member(s) of St. Croix Electric Cooperative. A scholarship committee of Cooperative members determines scholarship recipients based on a point system. In selecting recipients, attention is given to applicants with accomplishments in academics, community involvement, cooperative knowledge, scholastic activities, demonstration of leadership and financial need. All eligible students are encouraged to apply. Applications are judged in two categories: one- and two-year colleges/technical schools (eligible for a $500 scholarship) or four-year college/university (eligible for a $1,000 scholarship).
