This year’s SCEC Annual Meeting is going to be like no other: To protect the health and safety of our members, directors and employees (and in recognition that not all our members have access to the internet for a virtual meeting) this year’s meeting will be held Drive-In style!
Beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, SCEC Directors and employees will be directing traffic and registering members at the co-op office located at 1925 Ridgeway Street in Hammond (southwest corner of the County Road T & J intersection).
Employees stationed inside the co-op garage will collect the top half of the back page (containing the mailing label) of the 2019 Annual Report as registration for the meeting AND for entry into drawings for bill credits. (See back page of this newsletter.) Be prepared to also show ID matching the name found on the mailing label. Those representing organizations must also bring their Designated Representative form (found on the back page of this newsletter).
Board Directors stationed at the south end of the garage will hand goodie bags to each member as they exit and are directed into their parking spot in the south parking lot.
Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, SCEC restrooms will NOT be available to the public.
The meeting will be called to order at 5:30 p.m. Members will be instructed to either tune into a station on their radio to listen to the meeting or listen through the outdoor speakers.
As with so many things in this unprecedented time, details are subject to change but the meeting will go forward rain or shine – as long as a quorum of 50 members are present!
