Is your St. Croix Electric Cooperative monthly statement among the 6,500 bills mailed each month?
Did you know postage rates increased significantly on August 29?
Members who switch to paperless statements save the co-op money, and the co-op’s money is YOUR money!
Prior to the increase, the co-op paid approximately $31,044 annually in postage to mail paper bills (based on current data). The postage increase equals an additional $6,900 in postage costs.
For every 1,000 SCEC members who switch to paperless bills, the co-op will save $7,800 per year (including printing, mailing and associated costs)! Switching to paperless billing does not mean you have to switch to Online Bill Pay or Auto Pay … but you certainly can!
When you turn on paperless billing, you will receive an email and/or text notification of your bill the same day your bill is generated; 2-5 days before you would receive it in the mail. The notification includes your Amount Due and Due Date.
You can view, download and/or print your full bill by logging in through SmartHub, either on the web or with the mobile app.
You must have an email address on file with SCEC to sign up for paperless billing, and you will receive notifications of your bill being available whether or not you register your account online (using SmartHub, our online customer portal
on the web or mobile app).
Ways to Sign Up for Paperless Statements:
- SmartHub on the web: Find Update My Paperless Settings under My Profile.
