Due to the approval of two new polices at the SCEC Board of Directors June meeting (SCEC BD POL 100 - Policies, Rates, Service Rules and Administrative Policies and SC BD POL 101- Board of Directors and President/CEO Relationship) replacing/combining three existing policies, at its July meeting the board approved the retirement of:
- Policy 104 – Delegation of Authority from the Board of Directors to the President/CEO
- Policy 105 – Board of Directors – President/CEO Relationship
- Policy 111 – Policy Development and Approval
In addition, the board retired 13 other 100 (General) Series policies as recommended by legal counsel: Policy 101, 103, 106, 107, 108, 109, 112, 115, 117, 119, 121, 121A and 122 – as well as Policy 408 (Directors Years of Service Recognition). Many of the retired policies were restatements of bylaws or deemed to be administrative procedures rather than policies.
The new governing document categories are outlined in the new board Policy SCEC BD POL 101 and separate the Board Policies from the Administrative or Employee Policies, and further separates the electric rates from the policies into an SCEC Ratebook and the electric service policies into an Electric Service Requirements Handbook.
At the July meeting the board also approved revisions to Policy 210 – Final Disconnection-Reconnection to allow some discretionary judgment by the President/CEO.
