Ramie Frankiewicz joined the SCEC team on Aug. 16 as Warehouse/Materials Clerk. Ramie orders, receives, stores and is accountable for utility construction materials, and he maintains the inside and outside warehouse areas. While most of his interactions are with SCEC Operations and Line crews, he also receives old electronics, ni-cad or rechargeable batteries and fluorescent lights for recycling Thursdays from 12:30-3:30pm.
For the past 4 ½ years Ramie worked for a locally based overhead utility construction firm, and he taught math at the St. Croix Central Middle School for 19 years before that. Ramie’s experience in the field helps him organize and efficiently locate the materials and equipment needed for projects.
Ramie and his wife Jenny have lived in the area since 2000, starting in the Village of Hammond and now in the Town of Hammond. They have three children: Claire, 21; Paige, 16; and Beau, 8.
“People here have been helpful transitioning me,” Ramie said. “I love the short commute and being home every night.
