Sally Roos joined the SCEC team on Sept. 16, 2021, as Accounting Clerk. Sally is responsible for maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable. She verifies vendors’ invoices, issues checks, processes ACH payments, prepares various forms and supporting journals and reports. Along with numbers, Sally also works with members: She answers overflow phone calls and assists with covering the front desk.
“I love the people I work with and the members I’ve talked to,” Sally said. “Everyone has been very pleasant and understanding as I get to know my job and the co-op.”
For the past five years Sally, who has an Associate Degree in Accounting, was an Accountant for a garage door manufacturing company where she “handled all the paperwork from beginning to end.” Along with her professional experience, she is an active community volunteer, including serving as President of the St. Croix Central Senior All Night Graduation Party Committee, a member of the Panther Parent Group at SCC Elementary School and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She has lived in Roberts for 14 years with her husband Dave (a Hammond native) and has five children: Adults Destiny and Mandi; Alyssa, a senior; Emmalee, a 7th grader; and third-grader Ethan; all attending SCC.
“I’m excited to work in the community where I live,” Sally said. “It definitely feels like home.”
